LABOR COMPLIANCE OFFICER

FIELD REPRESENTATIVE (LABOR COMPLIANCE OFFICER)

Duties include performing data collection tasks utilizing standardized interviewing techniques and protocols. Work requires independent judgment within the framework of Site Visitations outlined in the Labor Compliance Program (LCP manual). General direction is received from Site Visit Supervisor and Data Analysis Team.

Essential Functions:

  • Conducts in-person interviews with construction workers on project jobsites

  • Interprets and enters worker’s interviews into LCPtracker

  • Educates contractors, subcontractors, and workers on labor standards set forth in the LCP

  • Coordinates with data analysts on information needed to verify certified payroll records

  • Prepares weekly and monthly site visit reports for management

  • Plans and coordinates outreach meetings/activities relative to public information on the LCP

  • Demonstrates superior, seamless customer service, integrity, efficiency, and responsible activity

  • Travels to jobsites

  • Other related duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Construction practices/techniques

  • Research methods and report presentation

  • Familiarity and comfort using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet

Ability to:

  • Read, comprehend, and make inferences from written material

  • Interpret and communicate LCP regulations

  • Communicate orally in English and/or Spanish with customers, workers, and the public via face-to-face, telephone, groups, and in one-on-one settings

  • Make decisions via site visit procedures and provide feedback for efficiency

  • Observe construction trade practices to determine compliance with LCP regulations

  • Produce documents written in English utilizing proper grammar, spelling, and sentence structure

  • Work cooperatively with others and contribute to team projects

  • Travel daily to jobsites, walk over rough or uneven surfaces, and work in inclement weather

  • Work in a team environment

  • Multi-task with minimal supervision

Skills:

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills; critical thinker with good problem solving skills; attention to detail; good voice quality; certified OSHA training (10 hours)
